November starts off strong with a $109M weekend headlined by the new release from Disney’s Marvel Studios: Eternals. The star-studded superhero movie and third entry in Marvel’s “Phase Four” landed a $71M debut – the fourth highest open of the year behind Venom, Black Widow, and Shang-Chi. While coming to the theater was a no-brainer for the loyal MCU fanbase, those outside the bubble may have hesitated due to the “rotten” rating on RottenTomatoes.

Sweet. Sugar. Candyman has surpassed industry forecasts with a $22M opening weekend! The sequel/reboot of the cult classic 1992 film is a certified crowd pleaser (85% Fresh, B Cinemascore). The fourth film in the Candyman franchise, this new Candyman brings a host of talent lacking in previous summer horror sequels. Tony Todd reprises his role as the Candyman, and stars alongside Yahya Abdul Mateen II (Aquaman, The Trial of the Chicago 7) and Teyonah Paris (Chi-Raq, WandaVision).
